May 9–10, 2026, Isokyrö – Rogaining in the heart of Ostrobothnia

Competition Center

The competition center is located at the Isokyrö sports hall. Facilities include planning areas, changing rooms, toilets, showers. The hash house serves participants throughout the competition. A café is open before the starts.

Parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the competition center.

🧭 Map & Terrain

Map: updated topographic map
Scale: 1:30,000
Contour interval: 2.5 m
Map size: B2 (500 × 700 mm)

An additional map of the center part of the area is also provided. 1:20,000 scale (A3 size).

Each competitor receives their own map + one extra planning map per team, including plastics form map.

Control descriptions are provided with the materials.

Forbidden Areas

  • Private yards
  • Railway (may only be crossed at designated points; running along it is forbidden)
  • Highway 3 (cross only at designated points; running along it is forbidden)
  • All bright yellow areas (fields) are strictly forbidden. You must not travel along field edges—always stay on the forest side of the ditch.
  • Additional restricted areas are marked with purple hatching on the map

Equipment and Punching

Main categories (Finnish Championship)
Mandatory equipment varies by category. The following are required:

  • Water container (bottle or hydration pack)
  • Food/Energy
  • Whistle
  • Emergency blanket
  • Waterproof jacket
  • Phone (sealed, for emergency use only)
  • MTB category also requires helmet and lights in darkness.

👉 Downloading the 112 Suomi app is recommended.

Teams must seal their safety phone and GPS device in an envelope provided by the organizer before the start. GPS watches may record the route.
Smartwatches must be sealed or set to "Adventure mode."

Life hack: If a team in the championship category wants to take photos during the race, it is allowed if the SIM card (not the safety phone) is sealed.

GPS tracking devices are attached to the outside of the backpack according to organizer instructions.

Main categories use the SI punching system. The organizer provides one SI device per team. Other categories use mobile punching.

All team members must visit within at least 5 meters of each control.
Teams must remain together at all times (max. approx. 30 meters apart).

Categories: 2h, 4h, 8h, MTB 4h, E-bike, dog category

The GPS Punch mobile app is used. Enter the four-digit control code into the app at each control.
At least one smartphone per team is required (a backup phone is recommended).

Communication and Media

Participants' names and teams will be published in start and result lists.
Photos and videos will be taken during the event and used for marketing.
Participants are free to share materials on social media.
